  • Enamel is the hardest substance in your body. Enamel covers your teeth above your gum line and provides a protective exterior. Bacteria create an acidic environment that softens your enamel and causes tooth decay. That is why brushing, flossing, and eating a healthy diet it so important.
  • Your masseter (jaw muscle) is the strongest muscle in your body based on weight. It can exert 200 pounds of pressure on your molars. That is why it is important to wear a nightguard to protect your teeth if you clench or grind.
  • People prefer blue toothbrushes to red ones. Maybe red ones remind them of blood. If you ever see blood on your toothbrush, it is your body’s way of telling you that something is wrong and you should take notice.
