If you have good oral health, you are already ahead of the game when it comes to cosmetic dentistry. While much of general dentistry focuses on controlling conditions and repairing natural teeth, cosmetic dentistry focuses on helping patients improve the appearance of their smiles.

Beginning with a healthy mouth is essential. Before we begin any cosmetic treatment plan, Dr. Kifer will provide a comprehensive exam and treat any underlying conditions, including periodontal disease or decay.

Porcelain Veneers

One of the most popular cosmetic dentistry treatments we offer is smile enhancement with porcelain veneers. While veneers can open the bite and correct shortened teeth, in most cases, we use veneers to provide a more uniform and aesthetic appearance.

Some of the ways that we use veneers to improve patient smiles include:

  • Overall brighter appearance
  • Improved alignment
  • Lengthen worn teeth
  • Reshaping the smile and gums
  • Creating a more youthful appearance
  • Closing gaps between teeth

How Long Do Veneers Take?

After your initial appointment, we can complete the porcelain veneer process in just a few appointments.

Designing Your New Smile

We will discuss smiles you admire along with the shade and shape of your new smile. We even offer the ability to “try on” your new smile before you make your final decision.

Dr. Kifer will also make sure your bite comes together comfortably, so you can chew and speak without difficulty.

Preparation and Impressions

It is necessary to polish the existing teeth to make room for veneers and to ensure a tight seal. We will lace temporaries on your teeth to protect them and reduce sensitivity while our trusted dental lab makes your new smile.

Final Restorations

Once we receive your new veneers, we will permanently attach them to your teeth and make any small adjustments necessary. You will need to keep your teeth and gums healthy to enjoy your veneers for many years to come.
