Northwest Arkansas Family Dental
Fayetteville, AR Dentist

Technology makes dentistry more accurate and comfortable for our patients. Dr. Wade Kifer studies new technology as it appears in dentistry and implements the most useful equipment and techniques into our Fayetteville, AR dental office.

Here, you will find some of the latest technology we have incorporated into Northwest Arkansas Family Dental. We look forward to providing you with the many benefits of modern dentistry!

E4D Technology

E4D Technology implements some of the most exciting developments to ensure that your dental restorations are both accurate and esthetic. E4D combines digital 3-D scan technology with computer-aided design and manufacture to ensure proper fit and function for dental restorations such as crowns and bridges.

By using E4D, we can eliminate the need for sticky impressions and provide our patients with convenient treatment, beautiful results, and precise fit when it comes to their dental restorations. We create your dental restorations in our office while you wait!

XDR Digital Radiography

We feel that digital radiography allows us to get the necessary information with less risk of radiation to the patient. Digital x-rays have been shown to use up to 90% less radiation than conventional x-rays. We also love the fact that we can take an x-ray and immediately pull it up on the screen in front of you. This allows you and Dr. Kifer and Dr. Bowen to co-diagnose your problems.

Isolite Dry-Field Illuminator

In our office, we use the Isolite dry-field illuminator. This device is a soft-bite block that allows you to rest while we do your work. We have found that a lot of our patients actually fall asleep while we are working on them.

This isolation also allows us to do the best fillings that we can. Tooth-colored fillings (composites) are very technique sensitive, and proper technique allows us to give you the best possible result. This can result in fillings that last longer and have less sensitivity.

NSK Electric Handpieces with Fiber Optic Lighting

No one likes the sound of the dental drill. Electric handpieces don't eliminate that sound, but they are much more quiet than traditional air-driven handpieces. Electric handpieces also are much smoother and give us the ability to create a much more efficient and faster procedure time.

Helios LED Lighting

Helios LED overhead lights are the brightest and most effective lights on the market. Good lighting gives us the ability to properly diagnose cavities and small cracks in teeth that might be missed without good visualization.

We believe in being thorough, and good lighting is an important part of catching small problems early before they become big problems.

Kois Deprogrammer

The Kois Deprogrammer is a major part of our office and helps us treat complex dental issues. I am reluctant to put devices that we use in the technology section of our website because it is not the technology but the training and ability to use the device to diagnose your problems that makes this such a valuable tool in our office.

We use the Kois deprogrammer to help you relax your jaw and muscles. This allows us to figure out what is going on with your bite and jaw. When your bite and jaw are not aligned properly, you may exhibit symptoms that include broken teeth, headaches, thin chipping teeth, and even problems chewing different kinds of food.

If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, then call our dental office in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and we will be happy to give you a plan to help you get rid of your symptoms.

CariFree is a product that we are very proud of in our office. Carifree is a system for CAMBRA (Caries Management By Risk Assessment.)

“Caries” is another term that dentists use for cavities. We believe that by doing a proper risk assessment on our patients and recommending the proper products and techniques, we can help you prevent getting new cavities. We pride ourselves on being able to fix your problems but also going the extra mile to make sure that you don't get new cavities. There is nothing more frustrating than going to the dentist and getting told that you have a new cavity. We want you to enjoy going to the dentist and look forward to giving you a good checkup when you come in.

EMHR (Electronic Medical Health Records)

EMHR are very important as we go forward in our health care market. We use digital records to store all of your information digitally. This gives us the ability to share this information with any specialists who may be involved in your treatment.

With the use of Teamlinks, we can set up your electronic health record so that you have the ability to access it and share it with any other provider who has access to EMHR technology.
