CandidPro Aligners: What to Expect
When you visit our office for an orthodontic consultation, we’ll take digital scans and x-rays to determine your candidacy for clear aligners. CandidPro works well for mild to moderate concerns, including overbite, underbite, crossbite, open bite, and gapped or rotated teeth.
If you’re well-suited for clear aligner therapy, here’s what happens next:
- Smile preview — We can show you a virtual preview of your new smile; that way, you can visualize what your teeth will look like once you complete treatment.
- Aligner creation — We’ll send your scans and x-rays to the CandidPro lab so they can create your custom aligners.
- Aligner wear — Once your aligners are back at our office, you’ll come in so we can show you how to wear and care for your aligners. You’ll need to keep them in for 20-22 hours each day, removing them only when it’s time to eat, brush, or floss. Every 1-2 weeks, you’ll switch to a new set of aligners until your teeth are in the correct position.
- Remote check-ins — One of the great things about CandidPro aligners is that you can send us photos from home, allowing us to monitor your progress without requiring you to come into the office. You’ll still need to visit us occasionally so we can see how you’re doing.
