For most people, it is generally recommended that you see your dentist twice a year. Every patient is different, and we do make different recommendations based on your unique situation. Keep in mind that if you are feeling oral pain or discomfort it is imperative you make an appointment with our office, even if you are in between your regularly scheduled visit.
Should my dental visits change once I have dentures or dental implants?
The number of visits per year also depend on what additional needs you have may have. We usually recommend seeing some of our denture and implant patients once a year. Some patients with increased risk factors, like smoking, diabetes, pregnancy, or periodontal disease, may need more frequent examinations. Some patients will be seen between three and six times per year.
